Spring Has Sprung!
Dear Readers,
Hope that you are all well and enjoying the beginning of Spring and everything that comes along with it.
The real estate market has shown no signs of slowing down and we have had multiple offers on the last three residential sales.
It is such a terrible time for buyers, very stressful and expensive without a positive outcome.
There are less buyers for farms and large lifestyle blocks but heaps of buyers waiting for lifestyle blocks in all areas.
Where are the buyers coming from?
That is an interesting question and there is no single answer as the statistics show a huge variation between locations and sale values.
It is fair to say that some sales are triggered by out of town buyers but the majority are buyers from within our wider region.
Will this change?
There have been more than seventy thousand expats return to New Zealand since Covid struck. In time these people will be looking for jobs and homes and that will impact our market.
The Nelson region is in a strong position with no sign of dropping values.
